1. Commitments of the Journal

1.1 Organization of the Journal and Scientific Support

The journal has an editorial team composed of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 members. Members of the Association Francophone Internationale de Recherche Scientifique en Éducation - AFIRSE - are the majority within this team.

The role of the editorial team is to gather articles for submission to the journal’s review process, propose issues aligned with the journal's editorial policy, regularly convene the scientific committee to suggest areas for improvement, develop collaborations with institutions related to its field, and ensure national and international accreditations.

1.2 Renewal of Editorial Team Members

Members of the editorial team are appointed through co-optation and/or recommendation. For each renewal, the team must respect the international, francophone, scientific vision and the original contributions to scientific research in Education promoted by the journal.

1.3 Article Evaluation Process

We encourage authors to review articles already published in La Recherche En Éducation to build their work on validated and existing knowledge.

Phase 1: Integration into the Review Process
Before entering the review process, at least two members of the editorial team assess the submission based on content and format criteria specified in the preface and submission guidelines.

Phase 2: Evaluation of the Submission
Each submitted article undergoes a double-blind review by two experts in the field. After communicating the recommendations to the authors, the revised article may undergo a second double-blind review by the same reviewers.
Each evaluation is presented to the editorial team and contributes to a personalized follow-up process to foster collective discussion about the submitted article.

Phase 3: Communication with Authors
The corresponding author is regularly informed of the status of their submission via email.

1.4 Response Timeline for Articles

The journal La Recherche En Éducation commits to sending a response to authors within six months of submission. However, authors must also commit to submitting revised versions within one to three months, as specified in the contact email.

 

2. Commitments of the Authors

2.1 Commitment to Exclusivity

Authors commit to submitting articles that have not been previously published in another journal or other types of media. Additionally, they commit not to submit the same article to multiple journals simultaneously for evaluation.

2.2 Authors

The attribution of authorship in the article must include, and be limited to, the names of individuals who collaborated in its writing and made significant contributions to its conception. The alphabetical order of names should be followed unless the authors wish to highlight specific contributions.

2.3 Compliance with Publication Standards

Articles submitted for evaluation must comply with the expectations of the editorial team and the journal’s standards. Authors must cite their sources in the article and include a properly formatted bibliography.

2.4 Scientific Life of the Journal

Publishing in our journal, La Recherche En Éducation, represents a contribution by each author to the broad dissemination of scientific knowledge in our field. Given their expertise, and after publication, authors may be invited to enrich the journal's content by joining the network of reviewers and/or promoting our publications within their scientific communities.
